Dear Reader,
It is often known that the best things find you in the most unexpected times.
A while back, while visiting a friend’s place,
a conversation with their family led me to doubt my understanding of opportunities and approaches to what we call individual and collective society success.
Getting the question raised, it was impossible to let go, it kept rising up again and again after a while, and deeply changed what brings peace and satisfaction to me personally.
Perhaps, that one conversation struck the very innate craving to not give up on the chances that exist to do something great while not chasing the best places for opportunities… To rethink, have I really tried all means to find a sustainable approach to personal success in the things that I value and resonate the most with me inside? Such a question was –
“Isn’t there really a good way to make the best of where I am?”
This is what drove me since that thought, and led me to different experiences, exploring more about ways to serve the country and our people, ways to make the city safer before aiming for the world… ways to improve well being of the people around us, before the people we haven’t yet met… and most importantly, help the ones who have lost the voice to even ask for help…
This mindset came back multifold, I am growing as an individual, and in my career too, that too while exploring the new dynamics and shifts that I need to catch up, with the onset of AI so deep in our lives… but to my deepest surprise, this has led me to being in places and at times, where I had to be to play a part that means a million to someone, that too already a couple of times… and more grateful for being helped on things that I needed but wasn’t known to me as well…
It took me a while to understand what this striking difference was; for the best I could sense, it wasn’t much of a change on the outside, but inside it was a change that made it harder to believe I am the same, yet so different… The answer, finally, I found in an old movie called “Courageous”.
And the true change was evolving from a boy to a man…
It is a profound change, and for the closest ones, might be laughable since hardly any difference in my shape 😛
But the change is in the clarity, courage, and accountability, the way a man holds without asking for.
Which is being a man truly means, beyond the expectations of others, but in the gentleness of brave hearts, lies the gentleman.
If you have read this far, I am grateful to you for being patient and proud of you for keeping your attention span strong enough!
And lastly, I would recommend going to watch that movie for sure, it might be a slow-paced one, but every detail carries a thousand words, making it all worth every second.
Looking forward to being able to share more such experiences as they occur, and if you have any such, feel free to write to us at learnersden.ngp@gmail.com and we would love to collab with your deep experiences to share with learners here.
From one Man to another Man, and Learners…
Best,
Anmoldeep 🙂
