Hi Learners,
Lately I have been exploring LLMs for local development and how far have we come,
in the humble analysis over the span of just 2-3 hrs,
insights showcase that –
1. LLMs that are helpful to newbieCoders, trying to learn a language,
are capable to deliver solid good results at just 0.6B parameter models.
Ref – Qwen3-0.6B
2. LLMs that are supporting working seasonedProfessionals, almost necessarily need support for codebase indexing, and require 128K token context, to be helpful at all, since the intructions consume alot of context window, while playing the tradeoff with delivering highly relevant and smart generation.
3. MultiModalModels, are by far changing how we design solutions and system, from Cloud Native thinking to a new (perhaps half baked) AI Native perspective.
4. From Hardware perspective, by Far, the best value for money solution, with elegant little to no sound product is the Framework Desktop, (thanks to thorough analysis by Alexander Ziskind on his YT channel), while MacMini follows just a little behind on Price to Value aspect. (Disclaimer – personal thoughts, and post is not sponsored by Framework, or Alex! xD)
5. AI Startups and solutions are bombarding the market, similar to the previous DotCom bubble, but like the infamous web3 trends, this is gonna last longer to define the moment when it can be considered busted. ( Good for market, as competition drives prices in favor of consumers!)
Will keep sharing insights, thoughts, and findings ahead.
If this sounds interesting to you,
why not connect follow and explore together!
open to hear your findings too!
Best,
Anmoldeep 🙂
